Information {Open} « Thread Started on Nov 5, 2009, 6:00pm »
A womans laugh echoed slightly as a couple sat at a table close to the door, obviously seeming to get on well. Bela was the woman in question although the man she was with knew her as 'Alison'. Her normally long brown hair was now a dark brown bob, but her English accent remained. She was wearing a knee length black dress with a somewhat plunging neckline. She knew how to get attention when she wanted it, and right now she wanted this guys attention on here.
"Let's get out of here." Bela smiled flirtaciously at the guy, batting her eye lids. As he called for the bill her eyes swept over him taking him in, this guy Matthew she thought he was called thought it was his lucky night. She knew luck had nothing to do with it.
Standing up she held her clutch bag in one hand and ran her other hand over Matthews chest with a smile making sure he was looking at her face the whole time. "Just give me a moment to freshen up before we leave." Bela whispered in his ear seductivly, before switching the hand her bag was in and walked towards the bathroom. Once in there she looked in her hand. Yes there was her bag but also a passcard for Wolfram & Hart. A smile toyed across her face before waiting a few moments and headed out.
She held her phone to her ear. "Yes, yes, oh no thats terrible, no I'll be there right away." She said into her phone as she got closer to Matthew. Putting her phone down she looked to Matthew. "Oh I'm so sorry, my Aunt's been taken ill which was why I'm in town, I have to go and see to her. Thankyou for the dinner I'll call you." Bela told him swiftly leaving him standing in some kind of stupor unsure of what to say.
A happy smile played across her face as the first part of her plan went the way she meant it to. Her heels clicked on the sidewalk as she made her way along to implement the next part, a hand running over her necklace almost absent mindedly.

Giles had decided to tke a quiet evening to himself, well mostly to himself. Samantha had asked him to meet him at Viola's, but he knew she probably wouldn't show up, better for him any. He was busy cleaning his glasses when he accidently ran into bela, his glasses falling on the pavement. "Oh, Dear Lord, I'm terribly sorry."
He hunched down, picking his glasses up, examining them before placing them back on the bridge of his nose, and looked at Bela. "I am sorry for running into, Miss." He nodded. "Are you alright?"

Bela was in the middle of slipping her phone into her bag when suddenly she collided with something or someone and her phone fell on the floor. "Oh!" She exclaimed, bending down carefully to pick it up and then stood back up so she could get a look at whoever decided it was good idea to walk into her when there was plenty of other room on the sidewalk.
Her gaze took in the man in one look who obviously looked preoccupied. "Oh its alright, my phone isn't damaged." Bela explained her english accent coming out as she put her phone back into her bag next to her purse and the stolen passcard. "I'm tougher than I look." Bela said giving the guy a small smile. "Perhaps you shouldn't think so hard whilst you're walking and you might not walk into people." Bela joked slightly putting her purse back under her arm.

He heard her accent and smiled a little. He shook his head. "I have a tendency to think ot much, but you have to in...er...at my age." He cleared his throat, looking off for a moment before looking back to Bela.
As long as he had been in Sunnydale, he had never seen her before, certainly he would remember a woman like her and not to mention the fact she was British, like him. "I am terribly sorry I bumped into you, Miss...er, I'm sorry..." He laughed lightly. "What's your name?" He wasn't flirting, he just thought it would be nice to know her name.

Bela had been so preoccupied before it was only when the guy spoke again that she noticed his accent was similar to hers and certainly not American. A small smile pulled at the side of her mouth as she listened to him woffle on slightly. Wanting to roll her eyes slightly at the mention of his age, but let him carry on anyway, its not like she had much to do, amending the card would only take an hour or two.
Bela raised her brow when he asked her name, wow he had clearly been in America to long, British guys usually weren't that forward but then again you didn't get many Brits in America, and probably not in this town, Bela thought to herself. "I'm Alison Chandler and its okay its not everyday two people with a British accent run into each other in America." Bela smiled politely, thinking about her life in England then switching her attention to the present. The past was no place to linger. "Have you been in America long?" She asked curiously.

Giles smiled to the woman. "Alison. I'm Rupert Giles. Nice to meet you." Giles had always been the polite sort around strangers. "Ah, no, not really." He laughed a little, thinking if only Max had been here she would have found it a little too odd, wouldn't she? Ah, probably not.
"Ah, not very long. I lived here for Six years, returned to England, I came back often to visit me students." He smiled. "I just recently moved back only last year permanently." He hoped, as long as Samantha didn't try to have his Green Card pulled and she have him shipped back to England.

"Well pleased to meet you to Rupert." Bela smiled at him mirroring him in calling him by his first name. She always looked out for things like that, it was just the way her mind worked. Always thinking and analysing.
"Wow so you know the lay of the land, I've been in America for a few years now, I travel a lot for my job so I get to see lots of different places. And this place sure is different, there's a darker feel to it, but that might just be me." She said giving a small laugh. Yeah she can be naieve and innocent as well, she had her different characters.

He smiled to her, and then blinked a bit. "I know my way aroudn the town pretty well, yes." However, when she spoke that the town had a darker feel to it, he cleared his throat. "Ah, well...sometimes it can, I guess." He cleared his throat again. "It is a rather normal place, though..." Not really wanting to get on the subject of this place with a complete stranger.
The Watcher glanced at his watch, she wasn't going to show. That figured as much. "I guess my friend won't be joining me for dinner, just as well, I'd rather go home and have a nice home cooked meal..."

"Yeah it seems a nice place so far." Bela agreed, knowing that wasn't the whole truth and what this town really was about but perhaps he really didn't know the town but Bela didn't believe that. Not if he'd lived in this place for as long as he said. She was skeptical like that.
She followed his gaze when he looked at his watch. "Oh I'm sorry I've kept you to long so you've missed your dinner, I hope I haven't interfered or anything, let me buy you a drink or something to make it up to you." Bela offered a concerned look on her face. She always took advantage of people and if this Rupert had been here as long as he said then he knew things about this place and she was always after information.

"Oh, no. You're quite alright, my dear. It seems I'm the one who was, stood up." Damn that woman. She wasn't going to tell them anything right off, he knew that much. A smile came across the Watcher's face and he nodded. "Well, alright. No harm in it I suppose." He really didn't think anything about it, that she was using him. He wouldn't think a woman as nice looking as her would do something like that, besides, with all that has been going on...he could use a good drink.

"Oh your much to cute to be stood up." Bela commented quickly, but as if she wasn't meant to be flirting and it was just a compliment. She smoothed down her dress and popped her bag under her arm before glancing around as if a little unsure where to go. "So I guess a guy like yourself will know where to get a good drink in this town?" She suggested, holding out her arm. "Why don't you take us there, and I'll buy the first round." Bela smiled. "And you can moan all about your date that stood you up." She added.

Giles blinked, looking down with a grin and turned a light shade of pink. Cute? How long had it been since someone had called him cute? Bah, pull it together, Rupert. "Drinks? Actually, I do." He smiled to her, looking back at the restaraunt and then turned the other way. "It's just down this way, if you don't mind the walk." It was out of the way, little quiet. But, still they served good drinks.
He laughed. "Oh, it wasn't date. It was more business than anything. And old...colleague of mine arriving from London." He nodded. Not that she was anymore, she was different than she use to be. The Council hard turned her into something different than what she use to be.

"Oh no the walk is just another excuse for us to chat longer." Bela smiled, "Plus these shoes were made for walking." She laughed, talking about her high heeled shoes. She'd done a lot more than walk in the high heels and sometimes they came in handy as a weapon if she couldn't get to her gun.
Bela listened to him with a small nod and kept glancing at him so he knew she was listening. Oh yes, one could say she was a people person, others would say she's just manipulative. What ever she could do, she could put any face on and be any person, it was more like a practised art for her. "Another Brit." Bela smiled glancing down then back up to him. "Are we invading and I didn't know about it?" She asked in a jokey tone of voice, but she kinda did want to know, and hoped that she didn't know any of these people. There were a few people back in England who wanted her dead, but it would be a coincidence if it were any of these people that Rupert had been speaking of.
Bela or 'Alison' as she was known just smiled and listened to Rupert switching her bag to her other hand and putting her other hand round his arm. "You lead I'll follow." She said with a small smile.

He laughed at her. "Apparently, we are." He nodded, and started walking. He felt a little unease about the whole thing, but he wasn't going to complain. She was beautiful to be sure, but something about her Giles couldn't put his finger on, he was sure it was nothing. Just his mind playing tricks on him at his old age, not that he'd ever admit to being old, of course. "I'm interested as to what brings you here, my dear?"
He wanted to know, because he wanted to know more about her and if he could pick up on anything she said. He was usually good at those things, usualy.

Bela walked with him a knowing smile on her face, and she just hoped this wasn't going to be a waste of time. "What brings me here." Bela repeated though more rhetorical than anything. "Well its work really." She started explaining. "I'm sort of like an antiques deal that specialises with different areas of the market. I like to travel to different places to see what I can find." Bela said to him with a smile, squeezing his arm slightly. "So I'm here to see what this place has to offer." She said, in more ways than one, Bela thought to herself.
She travelled anyway so that was the truth and she was a dealer, just not in antiques, in valuble items. "Whereas you on the other hand look like the kind of guy who likes to settle in one place for a while and be comfortable there rather than move around, am I right?" Bela asked him with a small smile. She liked to think she was good at guessing and reading people.
