It was late, very late. She was surpised Clem's was still open, but what do you expect from a demon? Walking in, she took a seat at a table, and the waitress came up to her. She looked up at her and blinked. "Wow, Vinji demon. ...I thought you were violent?"
"I'm only half." She said to Ember, smiling. "What can I get you, honey?"
"Right, uh, Cherry Coke. Double Cheeseburger, everything hold the onion. Fries." She nodded, the waitress smiled and went on about her business. Ember sighed, looking around to see if there was a no smoking sign, oh thank God. Pulling out her pack, she sighed as it was crushed. She pulled out one and lit it, taking a long draw she exhaled the smoke, and waited patiently on her food.

Ruby walked into the diner to see it was pretty empty, though it was hardly surprising at this time of night but she thought she would have seen more demons around rather than humans, who were either scared or hiding or had left the town already. She hadn't really gone to the diner for anything except a break. She really needed to sort out what to do with the Winchesters, especially Dean, he was really getting to her at the moment and she needed to get Sam away from him.
Her eyes swept around before stopping on a red headed girl having a smoke close by. She was recognisable and Ruby knew her as a slayer, a rogue one at that. She walked over slowly pausing at the end of the table before sitting down opposite the red head. "It's much nicer sitting with someone else rather than on your own." Ruby said to her with a small smile. Her gaze took the slayer in and then she glanced around the diner. "Do you like the quiet of being on your own?" Ruby asked her curiously, leaning back on the chair and crossing her legs.

Ember looked up to see Ruby and smiled as she took another draw from her cigarette. "Yeah, it is, but you try to find somebody to com out to eat with you at this time of night." She smirked, she had recoginized Ruby from before and she seemed to be an alright person.
"Ah, sometimes it's good to be alone, other times it's ain't. I'm just use to eatin' by myself. Have been for a long time now." another draw was taken from her cigarette and the waitress brought her a drink. "You want somethin'? On me."

"Thats true. People don't tend to wander around at this time, it would be a little stupid unless you can handle yourself." Ruby nodded slowly agreeing with the red haired slayer. "Your used to handling yourself though right? Your a slayer so I've heard." Ruby stated looking at Ember without waivering.
She glanced to the waitress when Ember asked if she wanted anything and a small grin played across her face for a moment. "Well fries would be nice, just hold the salt." Ruby told the girl. "You know fries are totally like deep fried crack to me, they're amazing." Then with a roll of her eyes she smiled at Ember. "I'm Ruby by the way, I worked with Adam and help the Winchesters as well as anyone else who might need it." She explained.

"Sure am." Ember was amazed by how fast word travelled in this town, but then again, people didn't really have much to talk about these days...just other people, apparently. "Have been since a couple of years ago. Had to learn quick." It wasn't easy but she got the knack of it.
The redhead shook her head and laughed. "Mozarella sticks are mine." She grinned. "Of course, it's hard to find anybody who can make them without them exploding and losing the cheese is hard." A shrug came before the girl introduced herself. "September Stone, you can call me Ember. Nice to meet'cha, Ruby."

"Well good for you, I just heard it from the whispers in the demon community, not that many of them speak to me anymore, they just call me a traitor and try and kill me at every opportunity." Ruby smirked with a slight lust for a demon fight running through her head. Those buggers won't ever catch me anyway, she thought to herself.
"Mozarella sticks..." Ruby mulled over the words, "can't say I've ever had them, I don't really have time to try new stuff." She shrugged. "And good to finally meet you to Ember, I like to put names to faces and to know who the allie is rather than the enemy." She explained.

Ember smiled a little. "Well, I sure as hell ain't got not problem with ya, honey." The waitress finally brought her both of their food and Ember's eyes got wide. "'Bout frickin' time, I'm starvin." Embe rpicked up the hamburger and took a bite, almost instantly swallowing it.
"They're good, you should try 'em. Anything with cheese is always good." She laughed before wiping her mouth with a napkin. "So, what do you do? Hunt demons?"

Ruby gave Ember a small smile at her admission that she had no problem with her. Whether she knew the full extent as to what she was, Ruby wasn't sure and thought it best to keep it that way until it came up. People reacted in all different ways to finding out and most of the time it wasn't the best reaction. Her gaze followed the food as it was set down on the table, and she immediatly grabbed the ketchup bottle on the side of the table and made a huge red blob of ketchup at the side of her plate of fries.
She had eaten a couple of fries and was just dipping one in her ketchup when Ember asked her what she did. She paused for a moment and nodded slowly. "Yeah I fight demons mainly and look out for the Winchesters because well you know men, they need guiding sometimes." Ruby laughed, eating her fry before picking up a couple more. "I think fighting demons is a never ending thing especially in this town, but it wouldn't surprise me if more of them escaped from hell." Ruby shrugged. It was almost as if she were expecting more of them to escape which she most definitly was.

Ember laughed. "Yeah, men are always getting into a trouble." That was a fact, at least to her. Her older brother always managed to get into some kind of trouble. "Ah, well, what you get living on a hellmouth, it's bad in some places, but this place seems to not only bring out the demon...but the crazies."
She took a drink of her coke and another big bite of her hamburger. It was nice to talk to someone, sure she had a friend in Faith and Theresa, but they were always off in their own little world, and Buffy? Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen. Buffy didn't seem to care for Faith being there, let alone her. "So, you help these boys out, huh? Anything else you do or like to do, for that matter?"

"Well crazy comes with the territory so I've found as well." Ruby agreed with Ember with a small nod. She picked up another few fries eating them as she glanced outside at the dark. She wasn't expecting to see anyone, perhaps a few people but even then they were probably possessed by a demon or something she figured, turning her thoughts back to her fries. They weren't to bad and Ember wasn't bad company either. It made a change to the Winchester's or Adam, all men!
"Yeah the guys need a helping hand most of the time, and I don't tend to do much else apart from fight demons and avoid the ones that I need help to kill if they're ones out to get me. I'm can last a long time I don't wear out quickly so my endurance is helpful in a fight especially with a tough one! I bet you've come across a few tough demons and vamps before now?!" Ruby asked her almost as if they were comparing fights, not that she was intending to but that was all she did most of the time.

"So it does." She said, now taking time to focus on her food. She ate it rather quickly, she was eating like she hadn't eaten in days, which may or may not have been true. She didn't exactly have the money these days just whatever she found or took of vampires before dusting them.
Fininshing her food, she nodded, taking the last sip of her soda. "Yeah, a couple." She waved the waitress over. "Can I get a Hot Fudge Sundae, please? Oh, and a refill. Thanks." She looked back to Ruby. "Big bad in my neighbourhood, Livia. She was about a 100 year old, myabe a little older Vampire. She was a bitch, then there was Jake..." She skipped the details on that. "And, well, got into a tussel with Angel before he got his soul back, other than that..."

"Wow, sounds like you've had your fair share of fights." Ruby commented with a smile. "Sounds like your pretty hungry to...You not eaten today or something?" She questioned whilst she finished the last few fries on her plate. Mmm they were great...she loved them anytime...they tasted so nice unlike anything else.
"And the good thing is you've got through all those fights to get here, you've got fight in you, I like that. Strong women, we need more of us like that, otherwise the guys will start getting ideas that their better than us." Ruby grinned, leaning back on her seat.

She shook her head. "Nah, usually don't get to eat like this. Moslty peanut butter crackers or something cheap from the vending machine outside of the motel." She nodded, taking abother drink of her coke. Money was scarce in her life. Always had been since she was on her own.
"Yeah, well, bein' a Slayer takes off the edge, though some guys don't like tough girls." She laghed, stuffing more food in her mouth like it was going out of style. "What about you? You eat...regularly?" Which was just out of the blue completely, but she wanted to know.

Ruby nodded showing she was listening to Ember, even though she was only half listening. Her other thoughts went back to the Winchesters. She really had to keep a better eye on them to make sure they didn't skip town, although she was pretty sure Sam wanted to stay which was a plus, although Dean would be more against it. Surprise. Surprise.
She glanced up and back to the slayer when she asked if she ate regularly. How random, a strange question. "Mostly." She said slowly. "I don't need to eat that much to keep going. I'm pretty strong without it." She smiled at her. It was only the truth, she didn't really need to eat at all but she had to keep the body going somehow.

It wasn't too long Ember had finished her food, and her drink. The waitress came by to fill up glasses and she drunk some more, looking at Ruby. It was nive to hang out with someone cool like her. "Ah, I just snack around most of the time, but no big." She shrugged. "Do you know Angel?" She asked, just curious.
